How to transfer files wirelessly to Android TV

Wireless transfer is ideal for APKs, photos, small videos, documents, and quick test files. It avoids USB adapters, but it depends on network stability and clear file organization after the transfer.

Recommended workflow

  1. Connect both devices to the same Wi-Fi network or hotspot.
  2. Open Orvexa Share or another trusted local transfer tool.
  3. Send one test file before sending a large folder.
  4. Use Orvexa Files to move received files into Downloads, APKs, Movies, or Documents.
  5. Delete failed transfers and duplicate files so the TV storage stays clean.

When wireless transfer is not ideal

If you are moving many gigabytes of video, a USB drive or local network share may be more reliable. Wireless transfer is best for convenience, not for building a large permanent media library on a TV device.
